Duties & Responsibilities:

•Strategically manage product business unit utilizing channel activities to maximize sales and profit by delivering experiences, personalizing consumer messaging and the application of geodemographics
•Responsible for driving a cohesive hardware channel marketing strategy that leverages the suite of Sony products to drive demand and increase purchase at retail
•Manage the new Hardware Channel Marketing Team to support integration between the team members and deliver on a cohesive business offering
•Manage budgets to ensure channel activities are profitable in order for the company to achieve sales and revenue goals
•Identify market trends, segmentation and targeted marketing opportunities
•Design implementation plans for channel campaigns and marketing activities to be used by sales channel team to inform retailers
•Articulate what the consumer’s experience with products should be, and work toward delivering that experience at all consumer touch points
•Influence channel marketing content in order to support marketing activities that are aligned to the product, corporate brands, and overall strategy and meet retail and customer needs
•Improve retailer utilization of consumer product adoption and attach rates through new business opportunities
•Develop and deliver innovative retailer and product-specific recommendations for product placement and promotions.
•Utilize analytics to measure and report on results and sales performance and make recommendations for future programs to increase ROI
•Create an environment in which the team is pushing outstanding performance, creativity, innovation, and partnership
•Holds all stakeholders accountable for results and ensures necessary analysis is undertaken to improve future initiatives and performance
•Articulates a "best in class" expectation every single day
•Be the channel subject matter expert and captain for given business unit
•Develop close working relationships with the sales managers, retail activations and the retailer teams in order to achieve mutually positive business results
•Monitor the competitor’s activity across the channel, report findings and create action plans to address
•Have knowledge of channel inventory and lifecycle management in consideration of driving marketing programs
•Monitor revenue and business results to influence business and marketing decisions
•Continue experimenting and adapting to the changing retail landscape
•Collaborate with partners and products that may cross preconceived boundaries

Requirements & Experience:

•Previous management experience required
•Highly motivated and exceptional leadership skills
•Demonstrates a high level of accountability
•Must have strong skills in process, policy and program development
•Experience with change management
•Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
•Must be good in persuasion as well as maintaining good relationships with partner channels
•Bachelor’s Degree and at least 10 year's relevant experience; MBA preferred
•25% Travel required
